Our very own senior Lydia Dunbar advances to the States for Cross County at Great Meadow Park in Warrenton, VA this Friday. She placed 18th at the Regional Meet at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, VA last Thursday.

Of the course and finish, Dunbar said, “I felt like passing out because it was so hot. I couldn’t walk straight. Coach Mom (Ms. Long) had to pick me up. It was great.”

Prior to the Regional Meet in Charlottesville, Lydia placed 5th during the conference meet at Burke Lake in order to qualify for Regionals. Lydia has been training all year to make it to where she is now, and is excited to take on States!

As she continues to make #warriornation proud, it’s our turn to celebrate her accomplishments. Come support her at an early morning pep rally in her honor this Friday. She said, “I watched Jackson Boswinkle at his pep rally two years ago. I never thought this would happen to me. Who knew?” Let’s all make sure to send her off to States the right way! See you in Town Hall at 8:05 am.
