The Perfect Granola Bar

Granola bars can be a nutritious snack It depends on the brand and the preservatives. Finding that perfect granola bar can be very difficult but with this recipe you can customize a granola bar that is healthy and perfect for you.
Ingredients:
Important Ingredients: (You must use these to create granola bars.)
2 or 3 cups of old-fashion oatmeal
13’x9’x1’x quarter sheet pan (baking sheet)
Oil (coconut oil is preferred)
⅓ cup honey
½ cup wheat germ or gluten free oats
2 ½ cup brown sugar or 2 ½ cup white sugar
⅔ cup maple syrup
Additional Ingredients: (Pick what you want from here. Taste buds are like personalities.You can create unique combination just for you)
1 cup of lightly toasted sliced almonds.
½ cup sliced walnuts, lightly toasted.
2 tablespoons of flax seeds
1 tablespoons of chia seeds
3/4 cup of coconut flakes,lightly toasted.
½ cup chocolate chips
½ cup chocolate
2 ½ cup brown sugar
2 ½ cup white sugar
⅔ cup maple syrup
Dried blueberries, cherries, any dry fruit
Steps:
- Start off by preheating the oven to 350 F.
- Take your baking sheet and prep it with coconut oil or cooking spray.
- Take out any additional ingredients: oats, nuts, seeds, wheat, etc. and mix them in a large bowl. Place them to the side.
- Pour your honey, oil, and sugar into a saucepan. Heat it at medium heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Make sure not to go over 6 minutes.
- Pour in your important ingredients and the additional ingredients into saucepan. Then, stir them together until they are fully mixed.
- Pour them onto the baking sheet. Make sure they are all even by pressing everything smooth.
- Put them in the oven. Allow them to bake for 35-45 minutes. (Make sure they are lightly brown upon removal.)
- Let the granola bar cool; cut them out into any shape you’d like!
