Every month, each Wakefield staff member can pick one, and ONLY one student they think deserves to hold the title “Student of the Month.” It takes a lot of effort to become Student of the Month; this award recognizes the hard working Warriors at Wakefield. How do you get to be honored? The current award holders let you in on how they won the award.
To be chosen as Student of the Month is a pretty awesome title to have. When asked how they earned this title, Cambria White said, “getting work done helped me earn Student of the Month.” Alena said, “I took away from my personal time in class to help others improve.” These are great tips for becoming SotM, and being just a good human in general.
If you want to be chosen next month, here is some advice from Joann Chong; “keep up with school work and actively participate in class. Ask questions or ask the teacher for help outside of class if you need it.” Harrison Westfall said, “be a helpful and nice person, listen, and lastly do your work!!!”
If you weren’t Student of the Month in Spetember (chosen at the end of the month), don’t worry! You still have 8 months left to get this prize.
