With over 10,000 spectators on hand, Wakefield High School had 4 entries (the largest ever for Wakefield) compete in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the oldest and largest Scholastic Regatta in the world, on May 16th and 17th! Our Men’s Jr. 4, Women’s Jr. 8, Men’s First 8 and Men’s Single all put forth a great effort and rowed strong. To compete at this level was a great experience for all.

Sophomore Jacobi Stalica-Galeano also competed in the National Scholastic Championship Regatta in New Jersey the weekend after the Stotesbury Cup. He finished 14th out of 18th. This is amazing for a sophomore competing against seniors! We can’t wait to see what he does in the next two years.
