Seniors try to pay attention while Ms. Wathen teaches Journalism.

For some it started September 4th at 8:19am, and for others it’s just starting to hit. Senioritis. Sen·ior·i·tis: A supposed affliction of students in their final year of high school or college, characterized by a decline in motivation or performance.

As the first semester was coming to an end, I was feeling confident and ready to finish this final year strong! Now, it’s a Tuesday morning and I’m sitting in my car, late for class, crying. Why? Because in order to pass AP Lit, I must score a 140% on my final exam. This year is not going how I expected.

Now that it’s fourth quarter, everyone is counting down the days to graduation. Freedom is right around the corner! But wait… you’d think that when you get that first college acceptance letter, you’re all set. Now that my grades are dropping, there is a very good chance that they will rescind my offer of admission. What great news!

To top it all off, every senior is either taking senior project, or AP research. Don’t get me wrong, these classes are really cool concepts! But on top of other classes, senior project is going to be the death of me.
