$185 Billion Dollars
$185 billion dollars.
People say money can’t buy happiness, but it sure does buy you the means to live your life the way you want. Elon Musk is doing just that, after surpassing Jeff Besos as the World’s Richest Man this year. The man seems to be blowing past the competition, taking over Bill Gates’s spot as the second richest man just months ago. With Tesla’s popularity at an all time high and Musk’s plans to colonize Mars, it’s not too bizarre that some even praise the man as a real life Tony Stark.
Even I don’t know what I’d do with $185 billion dollars, but apparently, Elon Musk has it all mapped out and put it on Twitter. He says he plans to put half of his money into helping problems on Earth, and the other half into building a self-sustaining city on Mars to ensure the continuation of all life (of all species) in case Earth gets hit by a meteor like the dinosaurs, or WW3 happens and we end up destroying ourselves.
It’ll be interesting to see what Elon Musk does with his money in the future, perhaps improving the promising Neuralink technology or even actually taking us to Mars like he says. Some say Elon Musk is taking advantage. Others say that he’s just seizing opportunities that are out there.
Either way, he’s now the world’s richest man alive.
