Free Outdoor Movies
From 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on 10/4 and 10/11, local restaurants will host free outdoor movies on the plaza at Westpost at National Landing. On the 4th, 47 Ronin (PG-13) will be hosted by Kusshi Sushi and on the 11th, Luck of the Irish (G) will be hosted by Mattie & Eddie’s Irish Pub. Arlington Art Walk
On Thursday, October 5th from 3 to 7 pm, discover the creative side of Arlington. The Arlington Art Gallery is a free independent art event that links nearby galleries, studios, and cultural activities. Featuring various art events with Arlington Independent Media, ARC 3409 Art Studios, Arlington Art Truck, Arlington Public Art, Arlington Public Library Maker’s Studio, “The Shop,” Cody Gallery, Fred Schnider Gallery, Mason Exhibitions Arlington, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Northside Social Arlington. Falls Church Farm Day
On Saturday, October 7th the annual Farm Day is happening in Falls Church. Tour the Cherry Hill Farmhouse and barn at Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church from 10 am to 3 pm. Petting farms, pony rides, pumpkin painting, creating scarecrows, blacksmith decorations, and live music are there for all ages. Attendance is free, however some activities require tickets. Washington DC Georgetown Flea Market: Antiques
The Georgetown Flea Market is a sanctuary for collectors of antiques, offering a wide variety of unusual items to browse. This market is the perfect place to go if you want to explore. With items ranging from pottery, china, jewelry, stained glass, books, and pictures to antiques, collectibles, art, and furniture; a trip to the market guarantees hours of discovery. Cox Farms Fall Festival
A must attend event is the yearly fall festival at Cox farms. The festival offers a variety of activities including hayrides, a volcano slide, and a huge cornfield. Tickets can be ordered in advance if you don’t want to stand in long lines at the entrance. The fall festival is open Thursdays through Mondays until November 6th.
