The WNBA playoffs are back and better than ever, with more players getting career high point averages and more media coverage.
Here are the Top Eight teams who qualified for the playoffs which started September 13th:
#1 Las vegas Aces, #2 New york liberty, #3 Connecticut Sun, #4 Dallas Wings, #5 Atlanta Dream, #6 Minnesota Lynx, #7 Washington Mystics, and #8 Chicago Sky.
Here are the round one winners and losers in the WNBA Playoffs. To no one’s surprise the #1 Las Vegas Aces defeated the #8 Chicago Sky, 2 games to none to knock off the Sky and to advance to the semi finals, A’ja Wilson led both teams in scoring in the series. #4 Dallas Wings took down the #5 Atlanta Dream in a 2 game sweep. Rhyne Howard led both teams in scoring. #2 The New York Liberty gave the #7 Washington Mystics the broom in a 2 games to none sweep. Breanna Stewart led both teams in scoring. And finally the #6 Minnesota Lynx were taken down by the #3 Connecticut Sun in a tough and gritty 2-1 finish.
In round 2 the semi finals, #1 The Las Vegas Aces led the Dallas#4 Wings 2-0. The Aces are looking for the 3 games to nun sweep, while the Wings are looking to become the first WNBA team to comeback from a 2-0 deficit. In a more exciting series, the New York #2 Liberty are tied up 1-1 against the #3 Connecticut Sun.
