Mr. Glascock is a Special Education teacher as well as a co-teacher for Algebra Functions, Data Analysis and Instructional Studies. He is Wakefield’s Teacher Of The Year.

Mr.Glascock is a former Wakefield Student! He graduated back in ’84 and was a star baseball player. Check out his picture above! Fun fact; he was nominated as Homecoming King his senior year.

He attended American University then transferred to the University of West Georgia receiving two degrees. His first degree is in Special Education for the Mentally Challenged, and the second one is his major in Special Education for the Learning Disabled.

He has worked at Wakefield for 19 years, and taught at Yorktown and Stuart High School in the 90’s as well. Mr. Glascock contributes to his community by running a summer Sports Camp. He connects to his community by running his basketball league; “my basketball league reaches 800 and more first and second graders each year. The camps reach easily over 1,000 elementary students” said Mr.Glascock.

He uses the five P’s (Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance) to keep motivated to do well; “this enables me to complete my requirements but still have time for the things I love” he said.

This is an excellent example of a committed teacher who loves what he does. Congratulations for being selected the Teacher of the Year!
