Last Saturday, Deportivo Alaves played Real Madrid in a BBVA (Spanish League) game which put them at the top of the La Liga with 24 points, only 2 points above Fc Barcelona. Real Madrid clinched their spot at the head of the table that day.

The lineups for both teams were as following;

XI Alavés | Pacheco, Femenía, Alexis, Feddal, García, Hernández, Camarasa, García, Torres, Deyverson, Méndez.

XI Real Madrid | Navas; Danilo, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo, Kovacic, Kroos, Isco, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Real Madrid gets an early chance in the 4th minute as Ronaldo is given a free kick. Ronaldo takes it low and Bale back heels it into the path of Pepe who has the goal in front of him but it goes over. Goal!!! Alaves strike in the 7th minute with a goal from Deyverson. A good run and cross and all he has to do is put it into an open net. In the 12th minute, Bale scores after a beautiful pass but it is called for offsides.

Another free kick is given to Real Madrid right outside of the box. Bale steps up for it and hits it right into the hand of one of the defenders in the wall. The ref calls for a handball and a penalty is awarded. Ronaldo has no issue and puts it into the bottom right corner. In the 22nd minute, Hernandez from Alaves sprints into the penalty area and Danilo puts in a great slide tackle to prevent the attack. Another goal for Real Madrid in the 33rd minute by who other than Ronaldo, the man of the hour. Ronaldo gets a pass from Benzema outside of the box; he tries to take a shot into the bottom right corner and it gets a deflection off Feddal and goes in anyways.

The half time whistle blows and the players go into the locker room reflecting on a 2-1 lead for Real Madrid with 2 goals from Ronaldo and 1 for Deyverson. Right after halftime, Alaves gets a big chance through Camarasa as he is one on one with the keeper, but a beautiful save from Keylor Navas keeps the ball out of the net. Navas makes another great save in the 54th minute, denying Deyverson from outside the box. In the 69th minute, Ronaldo is up to his usual antics attempting a bicycle kick, it ends up in the stands. Another penalty for Real Madrid! Ronaldo steps up for it but Pacheco keeps it out of the net as Ronaldo tries to put it the same way he did before.

Real Madrid put another goal on the score board, 3-1 and the game is basically decided. Morata receives a beautifully timed long pass from Marcelo and puts it over the keeper. Real Madrid scores again through Ronaldo as he plays a nice 1-2 with Marcelo. That’s a hat trick for Ronaldo and a second assist for Marcelo. Tweet! That’s the end whistle and what a game it has been as Ronaldo puts his team in the front of the League.
