Golf Update

Peyton has a lot to smile about.

Peyton Johnson:

Peyton finished 15th in the Region, and missed qualifying for States by two strokes. “It was my biggest accomplishment [of] my high school golf career. Although I didn’t make it to states, I’m still very proud of how this season and my career went. I’m going to miss it for sure.” Peyton was disappointed she didn’t go to States, but said looking back; it was an overall positive season.

JP DeFranco:

JP finished seventh in States for boys. “I am proud that I made it to States after a tough Regional Championship.” JP had to participate in a playoff (the golf equivalent to overtime), and birdied two holes to advance to States. He feels his high school golf career was a big success. He adds that his coaches were great, and he was backed by an awesome team. “I’m hyped I’m leaving Wakefield as the only golfer to ever make it to States.”
