Super Bowl 51 is coming up and the two teams are the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots.

On Sunday, January 22, the Atlanta Falcons played in their NFC Championship. They faced off against the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons had an amazing game with the ending score, 44 to 21. Quarterback Matt Ryan had 27 complete passes out of 38 for 392 yards and threw three touchdowns and ran for one. His key wide receiver, Julio Jones, had nine receptions for 180 yards and caught two touchdowns. The running back, Devonta Freeman, had 14 carries for 42 yards, but he didn’t have the remaining touchdown, the other running back did. Tevin Coleman had 11 carries for 29 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Matt Bryant had one field goal and five extra points.

For the Falcons to win the Super Bowl, they shouldn’t depend so much on Julio Jones. The Patriots already know that Jones is their key player and key weapon. They need to use everything they have to win. Defensively they need to control Brady’s passing game and Blount’s running game.

Later that day, the New England Patriots played the Pittsburgh Steelers for the American Football Conference Championship. The Patriots also had an outstanding game beating the Steelers 36 to 17. Quarterback Tom Brady completed 32 passes for 42 attempts for 374 yards and three touchdowns. The starting running back, LeGarrette Blount, also had a touchdown while having 16 carries for 47 yards. The two receivers, Chris Hogan and Julian Edelman, had all three of Brady’s touchdown passes. Hogan had nine receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Edelman had eight receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski accounted for three field goals and three extra points. Sounds like the Patriots had a good night.

If the Patriots are going to win they need to shut down Julio Jones, make them run the ball and force them to do things that they are uncomfortable doing. Offensively, just keep doing what they are doing.

Super Bowl 51 is Sunday, February 5th at 6:30 pm on Fox. Two of the best teams this year, who do you have winning?
