Two thrilling March Madness games were played on Saturday. The final four and championship game were very close and dramatic. Here’s how the games played out.

First, South Carolina was defeated by Gonzaga 77-73 on 23 points from Nigel Williams-Goss. The game was close throughout, but Killian Tillie was able to make two clutch free throws for the Bulldogs to make it a two possession game.

Next, North Carolina faced off against Oregon. North Carolina was able to come away with the victory 77-76, off of Kennedy Meeks 25 points and 14 rebounds. Oregon star Tyler Dorsey had 21 points in the loss. In the end, Oregon had a chance to steal a win but their failure to secure the defensive rebound blew the game.

Isaiah Hicks made a jumper with 27 seconds left to make it a three point game. Gonzaga then had two costly turnovers that led to a Justin Jackson breakaway dunk and a foul that sent Joel Barry II to the free throw line.

After having their hearts broken last year on a Kris Jenkins buzzer beater, North Carolina was able to get back to the championship game and find redemption.
