Four of the soccer superpowers face off in a race to the biggest game in club soccer, the Champions League Final. How will your team fare against the best of the best?

Bayern v Real Madrid

Bayern and Real, 2 of the biggest teams in Europe went head to head over 2 ties of questionable football. Bayern play the first leg at home in the esteemed Allianz Arena, the home and pride of Munich. Kimich manages to secure the early lead in the 28th minutes after an attempted cross finds the back of the net. Bayern dominate possession and chances until the 44th when Marcelo volleys in a stunner after a defensive error by Munich. Another defensive error for Munich in the 57th minute as Rafinha passes it across in the back and it is intercepted by Assessio, he makes a great run and puts it past Ulreichs outstretched arm. This was a gifted goal from Munich with an outrageous defensive mistake. Bayern created many more clear cut goal chances through the likes of Muller, Lewandowski, and Ribery but none of them manage to find the back of the net. Disappointing first leg as it ends 2-1 for Real in Munich.

The second leg was not much better for the clearly dominating Bayern Munich. The game starts brilliantly as Kimmich starts off the action in the 3rd minutes after some confusion in the box. An unmarked Benzema ties it in the 11th with a header to the back post. Just after the half Bayern makes another horrible mistake. Tolisso passes it back to Ulreich but he doesn’t know what to do with it. In a moment of confusion it passes under his legs and into the path of Benzema who scores the easiest goal of his career. Bayern manage to pull one back through James but it’s not enough to advance. Real Madrid manage to secure the final on 4-3 aggregate.

Liverpool v Roma

The two underdogs of the tournament. Everyone thinks Liverpool will go on but Roma have been known to put up a tough fight at home.

The match starts off slow with a few small chances. Kolarov hits the crossbar in the 18th from 30 plus meters out but Karius has it under control. Salah gives Liverpool the lead in the 36th minute with a curling shot just outside the box, beautiful! Roma seem to crumble as Salah gets another goal in the 45th as he chips it over the desperate Alisson. The goals don’t stop in the second half as Mane puts another in the Roma net in the 56th and Firmino in the 62nd, 4-0 for Liverpool! Firmino does it one more time in the 69th after a well placed header. It looks like it’s all over for Roma but they have a little more fight in them. Dzeko puts in a consolation in the 81st after a great long ball. Perrotti doubles Romas score in the 85th after a deserved penalty. This ends the first leg and the score is 5-2.

Roma are known for some impressive comebacks but today was sadly not the day. Roma go down after 9 minutes with a cool finish from Mane who starts out exceptionally. This may be one of the funniest goals this season. A Roma deflection hits Milner in the face and bounces into his own net, how unlucky! Liverpool doubles their lead in the 26th with Wijnaldum scoring after some confusion in the Roma box. Roma have not lost hope and they keep fighting. Dzeko scores in the 52nd and Nainggolan with a banger in the 87th. Great effort by rom but not enough to put them through. Liverpool take the tie 7-6 on aggregate.

What a few games we have witnessed here! The Champions League Final on 5/26 at 2:45 in Kyiv will certainly be one of the best games of the season.

Who will take the trophy, Liverpool or Real Madrid???
