A-SPAN’s Walk for the Homeless: CANCELED

Abigail Afeworki '22, Staff Writer

Not having a home is not having a permanent place to settle, not having a place to call home. We don’t realize that many students in this school don’t have a home. They may not be sleeping on the street, they might just be moving from couch to couch from relative to relative. Some people are lucky enough to have a home, bed, and many luxuries to call their own. Unfortunately, some don’t have that. The homeless need your support. In our community, we need to make a difference.

On Thursday, November 8th, Wakefield was walking for the homeless from 10am to 2pm around the track. Interact Club cancelled the walk due to a lack of donations. Email [email protected] or [email protected] with questions.

UPDATE: The walk was canceled due to lack of interest. Get involved with the Interact Club if you want to be of service to the Wakefield Community.
