Swim & Dive Varsity Team: Time for Districts!
Wakefield Swim and Dive has officially wrapped up their regular season and Districts are in full swing today, tomorrow, and Saturday. Many of our Warriors are feeling confident going into Districts this 3 day weekend.
Senior night was Friday, January 17th. Tons of friends and family came out to support! It was an awesome night and the energy was high; senior Amy Tramontozzi said her favorite part of the whole season was senior night and the best part was, “the bridge that people made with their arms, it was really cute.”
Boys dive had a great night with the top three spaces all occupied by Wakefield divers, and a first place score of 169.8. On the Girls dive team, Anne Kumashiro came in second place with a score of 159.7. Sophomore Anthony Doll has also had a great swim season; he broke the team record for the 200 IM (Individual Medley).
Districts are at WAKEFIELD POOL today (Thursday), Friday, and Saturday at 6pm. It gets hot in the viewing areas, so wear layers.*
*CORRECTION: In a previously published version of this article, we gave the incorrect location for Districts. Apologies for our confusion. We will see you at the Wakefield Pool.
