Two Things to do this Winter

During this year’s cold winter season it is easy to want to hibernate in the warmth at home, but it’s important to still get out and about. Here are two fun activities to do in the DMV these winter months with family and friends.

Pentagon Row Ice Rink

The first activity you should try in your spare time is ice skating.

Three ice skating rinks are currently up and running around DMV providing fun and serotonin to all that come. Located at 1201 S Joyce St – Pentagon Row, 970 Wharf St SW – The Wharf Ice Rink, and 3000 K St –National Harbour. Opening hours range from 10am to 11pm on weekends, (Check websites for accurate times). It tends to get busy with families and young kids around 11:30am to 1pm, lunchtime, so try to head in at an earlier time or late at night to maximize your experience. Entrance fee ranges from $11-$13 depending on the location.

If you’re looking for a less physically demanding activity, you should head to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Crystal City and see the newly released movies. The cinema provides food, drink, and entertainment for hours. Some newly released movies are Avatar: The Way Of The Water, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Book your tickets quickly before seats sell out! Prices range from $13-$21 depending on when you book.

Remember to enjoy the winter season and in doing so protect yourself from the cold. Put warm clothes on and go involve yourself in some fun activities.
