5 Ways to Beat Procrastination in the 2 Weeks before Spring Break
Procrastination is when you intentionally put off a task, saving it for the last minute.
Here are some tips to help avoid it:
- Being realistic about time, and setting reasonable expectations for yourself. Remember to be kind to yourself!
- Break up assignments into small chunks and do physical activity breaks in between. Try playing music and having a dance party.
- Make a to-do list for everything you want to accomplish, and cross off everything you’ve already done.
- Don’t multitask or be focusing on other things! Try to clear your mind before you start the assignment, so all your attention can be devoted to it.
- Try and figure out what times or strategies work best for you. This will definitely require some trial and error. Find an environment that can help you be productive. Closing a door, for instance, makes your work space quieter.
Don’t beat yourself up if you’re finding it hard to focus, or don’t get as far as you wanted to. Just try to do something every day. We have 2 weeks to Spring Break, Warriors!
