Connor’s Brackets: It’s Madness! March Madness

Here is my Women’s Bracket.

The two most exciting teams in the Women’s March Madness bracket are:

  1. Notre Dame “Fighting Irish” (Women’s): Led by Freshman Guard Hannah Hidalgo. She’s averaging 23.3PTS, 6.4REB, 5.5AST, and shooting 45.3%FG. She just led them to 1st ACC tournament title in 5 years. Hidalgo Is assisted by Junior Guard Sonia Citron and Junior Forward Maddy Westbeld. The Fighting Irish’s record for the 2023-24 season is 26-6 playing big teams like (10)Uconn, (24)Louisville, (11)NC State, (13) Virginia Tech, and The PowerHouse (1) South Carolina. I believe The Fighting Irish has it all and is capable of going very far in this year’s 2023-24 bracket.
  1. South Carolina “Gamecocks” (Women’s): South Carolina is the most balanced all around team in Women’s Collegiate College basketball. Senior Center Kamilla Cardoso and Freshman Guard Milaysia Fulwiley lead this historical team to an undefeated record going 32-0. Cardoso’s averaging 14PTS, 9.5REB, and 2.1AST. While Fulwiley is averaging 11.8PTS, 2.9REB, and 2.3AST. Reporters and Fan’s believe this 2023-24 season could go down in Gamecocks History.
Here is my Men’s Bracket.

The two most exciting teams in the Men’s March Madness bracket are:

  1. Purdue “Boilermakers” (Men’s): Purdue is led by POY senior Zack Edey. Edey is averaging 24.4PTS, 11.7REB and 61.9FG%. Last year, Purdue made history being the 2nd team ever to lose to the 16th seed FDU. The first time a 16th seed ever beat a 1 seed was in 2017-18 when UMBC beat Virginia. The following season 2018-19 was Virginia’s redemption year and they came to fight and won becoming National Champs. I believe the Boilermakers will repeat this memorable moment and become National Champs.
  1. North Carolina “Tar Heels” (Men’s): North Carolina is 1 seed in the west. The Tar Heels are led by senior guard RJ Davis. Davis knocked down a career best 42 points against Miami to set a new Dean E. Smith Center single game scoring record. Davis is assisted by senior forward Armando Bacot and freshman guard Elliot Cadeau. North Carolina has all the pieces it need’s to make a contenting run for this year’s 2023-24 National Championship.

We will see who wins it all on Sunday April 7th for the Women’s competition and Monday, April 8th for the Men’s competition.
