Coming into the game off of a big 23-20 divisional win against the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington seemed posed to strike last Sunday afternoon…looking to snag a win which would break the Falcons’ undefeated record. It was a close game, but not a win for the team.

All game, Washington had pressure on Falcons QB Matt Ryan racking up three sacks, two by outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and one by nose tackle Chris Baker. They also intercepted 2 passes, one by cornerback Bashaud Breeland and another by safety Trenton Robinson.

The Redskins took a 7-3 lead at the half.

The Falcons came back after the half and went into the 4th quarter leading, 19-16. With 25 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter, The Redskins settled for a 52 yard field gold to tie up the game and take it into overtime after a spectacular catch by Pierre Garcon.

The game ended with a 25-19 loss in overtime after Kirk Cousins threw a pick six.

It is game day. With a 1pm start time fans keep pointing at the progress that has been made this season. Progress matters, but the number of wins is really the only number that counts in the end, #TBvsWAS.
