The Warriors have now won their first three games in a row against the Yorktown Patriots, Tuscarora Huskies and the T.C. Williams Titians.

The first game was against the Yorktown Patriots in which they had a come from behind victory. At the half the Patriots led 24-20 and had the momentum. But that all changed once the second half rolled around. At one point, the Warriors went on a 12-2 point run and that help lead the Warriors to a 55-46 point win.

The next game for the Warriors was at Tuscarora High School. This game was very exiting because it went to triple overtime and the Warriors found a way to pull out a win. One of the main contributors to help the Warriors win was Alan Treakle who scored 35 points, most of them coming in the second half and overtime to really help out the Warriors.

The most recent game was at home against the T.C. Williams Titans in which the Warriors won 74-56; they really dominated. The Warriors couldn’t have won without strong performances from Jonathan Adams who had 19 points, Alan Treakle who scored 18 points, and Deng Nhial who scored 15 points. The Warriors also had strong contributions from Eric Martin and Amari Cooper.

This season is really looking bright for the new basketball team. There are only three returning players, so the team needs fans to come support their efforts. Anthony Felipe, expert Superfan said the best part about being a superfan is “just being able to cheer and start chants and just being a big part of the crowd.”

The Warriors next two home games are December 8th at 7pm against Eastern High School, and December 11th against Anacostia. Come out and show your support.
