Oregon Standoff Over

After a long few weeks of occupation, the Oregon Wildlife Refuge is once again under public control after farmers enraged by re-sentencing of a fellow farmer to obey mandatory minimums for prison sentences took control of the building under arms. The last militants still in the building surrendered to the FBI a week ago after a tense, live-streamed phone call between them and some political activists on site, and later the final occupant left inside, David Fry.

Fry later said, “Man wasn’t made to be put behind bars for standing up for his own rights.”
