The University of Vermont is breaking boundaries for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) policies in schools everywhere. They now allow students to choose their pronouns. Something as simple as being regarded by the respective gender that you identify with is something that many people take for granted.

One student in particular, Rocko, is just one of the many students that identify  as something outside of the male-female gender binary: a neutral gender. The University of Vermont is going to great lengths to ensure that students identifying as genderqueer, trans, or simply, they, are comfortable and free of  issues that can come with being identified by the wrong pronoun.
